It’s been a good week for Unify. It’s had some great coverage on fantastic blogs like Lifehacker, The Next Web, DinSide (Norway), Feber (Sweden) and Mac1 (Norway). Not to mention some brilliant Twitter coverage - Some people have even been sharing their Unified playlists on Twitter. Send me your epic playlists!

I’ve now reached over 2000 downloads when I was only aiming for 100, Yay! Rock on.

Thanks for all your feedback and suggestions. I’ve got some small improvements lined up for an update soon.

The Unify app is built with jQuery using Aptana. No Flash involved.
The app download is smaller in file size than the screenshots on getunify.com
Yes, I was gonna call it Copify.

Ziiing!
I’ve finally released a major new update (0.5). Unify now has a modern new look as well as loads of improvements under the hood. It’s around 4x faster at loading and checking your playlists.

Transfer albums
You’ll notice a nice little orange album icon. This area displays all the albums your iTunes Library. Just drag them over to Spotify the same as you do with tracks.

Trusted
Thanks to the generosity of Adobe, Unify now has a trusted certificate. That means you won’t get a warning when installing the application.

Small updates

I’ve made a few updates to the live version, now 0.31

This includes:

Improved support for multi-select
A bug-fix with the demo version not working
Improved reliability of finding your iTunes Library

I also have some new features in the pipeline Including:

Album search (drag entire albums over to Spotify)
Much faster scanning

Hello all,

I’ve updated Unify with some small improvements. Some bigger ideas are planned for the next version, but for now this should keep things running like clockwork :)

Unify will automatically update on startup. Alternatively go download it now.

Here is a list of changes (Version 0.2)

Added multiple select support SHIFT+Click, CMD+Click and CTRL+Click (CTRL for PC only)
Added cache for results (i,e, Clicking another playlist while one is scanning doesn’t mean you have to start again, good for long playlists)
Improved the font used on the PC version
Fixed app name in taskbar/dock
Fixed white screen on startup
Fixed visual glitch in load bar
Added a different icon for smart playlists
Added a title in playlist area
Added an animated ’loading’ icon on playlists
Upgraded to jQuery 1.4 and all it’s glory

Hello everyone :)

Welcome to the little blog about Unify. After a few small naming issues, I have finally launched my latest little Air application. I plan to use this blog to discuss future developments and features and also explain some of the behind the scenes stuff.

Firstly go download Unify :) It’s fun.

I would love to hear what you would like to see in Unify. The new Air 2.0 is soon to be released and that means I will be able to enhance Unify with some slick new features. So i’m listening…
